Tweens, join us for a read-aloud of the new nonfiction picture book The Snow Man by Jonah Winter, and then make a snowflake craft.
Through the book, you'll meet a man who chooses to live alone, deep in the mountains of Colorado, whose hobby of measuring snowfall led to the first global understanding of the effects of climate change, depicted in Jonah Winter's straightforward, powerful prose and accompanied by Jeannette Winter's beautiful, evocative illustrations.
Then, engage your senses by crafting a giant paper snowflake step-by-step using nothing more than cut paper and tape.
