About the Album

River's new EP displays his continued growth as a songwriter as he ventures further into the vein of folk-pop music. Sweet like honey, the sparse arrangements of River's unique style on violin, mandolin, and guitar are a fine example of when less is more. With lyrics drenched in clever rhymes and conscious messages, River's vocal performance demonstrates his energetic personality and wide tonal range. Iowa Grown Folk-Pop is the product of several months spent in the city of New Orleans and is River's first foray into self-recording.

About the Artist

River, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, makes lyrically driven music that blends elements of Folk, Pop, Rock, and Hip-Hop. His performances are extremely honest, heartfelt, humble, and inclusive. His talent and professionalism are serious, yet River is playful to the point that not even he knows where the music will go in any given show.
