Besides feeling great knowing that you're helping the library remain excellent for another 125 years, you will be giving a potential charitable contribution which could benefit you on your 2021 income tax return. Thanks to the CARES act, everyone can deduct up to $300 in charitable contributions even if they do not itemize deductions.

Patty began serving as Director of Development for the Iowa City Public Library in 2004. She works with the volunteers on the Board of Directors of the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation to seek private contributions to provide more art, books, movies, and music to borrow from the Library, as well as for library programs and projects.
