Meeting Room A, Meeting Room B, Meeting Room C
Presenter: Fonziba Koster
Fonziba's African drumming enables people of all ages to discover and enliven their innate personal creativity. Join us for an afternoon of learning and music, and get hands-on experience playing one of the 30 jembe hand or bass drums that is brought to the library for this program. She also provides an interactive display of things used in a typical African home for cooking, eating, cleaning, washing, sitting and sleeping. This unique experiential approach gives everyone a rich and authentic taste of life in West Africa that broadens their understanding of other cultures and ways of living.
This event is open to the public.
