LauraErnst Laura Ernst learned to juggle for her role in a middle school play, eventually transitioning her new skill to performances at street festivals. Today, Ernst has made a career out of her passion for entertaining.

The Iowa City Public Library is pleased to welcome the world-renown acrobat, juggler and entertainer to the Library for an all-ages show Tuesday, July 12, in Meeting Room A. The program will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

Ernst’s performance is free and open to the public, but seating will be on a first come-first served basis. It will be broadcast LIVE on The Library Channel, Iowa City cable channel 20.

An Iowa native, Ernst received first place at the 2008 World Juggling Federation, a designation that places her among some of the best jugglers in the world. She also appeared on the fifth season of America’s Got Talent, during which her performance inside her human-sized hamster ball caused Howie Mandel to exclaim, “I love you! You are my soul mate!”
