If you loved drawing in MS Paint as a kid, it's time to elevate your computer drawings with the Library's Introduction to Wacom Drawing Tablets. We'll experiment with different brush tools in Illustrator and try tracing a photo. This class will be held twice: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, and 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.
Looking to design your own seasonal greeting card? We’ll learn how to design holiday cards using the free online program Canva. Join us from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Before you shop for a 2020 calendar for your home or office, consider making your own! Join us for Make Your Own 2020 Calendar to learn how to create printable calendar pages featuring your own photos on Friday, Nov. 22, from 10:30 to 11:30am. These make a great gift, too!
Are you new to video editing and want to give it a try? Maybe you have a bunch of old family photos around, or you want to make a compilation video of all the best photos and videos of your pet? In our Basic Video Editing Using the Windows “Photos” App class, we will go through the steps to turn your photos and videos into simple compilations to show to your loved ones! This class for beginners will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17.
If you have ever struggled with making a video on Adobe Premiere Pro, you are not alone. Premiere looks complicated and can be overwhelming in the beginning. Our Adobe Premiere for Beginners class from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, will ease your fears and cover the most common tools, importing video, and understanding the interface. Bring in any video, audio, and/or photos you would like to work with. This class is for individuals with some video editing experience; beginners are encouraged to take Basic Video Editing Using Windows "Photos" App before advancing to this class.
Want to use the Digital Media Lab at any time while the library is open? Ask for an orientation at the Page Station so you can use the room’s technology to digitize your current photos, slides or VHS collections, edit digital images or video, or create new digital work. To use the lab, individuals should have a valid library card.
