Guys Read Book Club – ICPL Field Office February Meeting

Howdy.  Our next Guys Read meeting will be February, 16, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Meeting Room E (on the 2nd Floor of the Library).  We'll be discussing "Chains" and "Forge" by Laurie Halse Anderson and "Bone" by Jeff Smith.  With pizza.  For guys in Grades 5-8.

Guys Read, a literacy initiative founded by children's author Jon Scieszka, is designed to draw attention to boys' literacy and to help boys become self-motivated, lifelong readers.

    I'm continually impressed by the authors' ability to draw me in with new characters to this sprawling tale. It makes sense that this is a standout, fan favorite series! -Brian
