10/02/2021 4:30pm 10/02/2021 6:00pm Community Conversation: Oracles of Iowa City

Join us for a conversation about the Oracles of Iowa City mural project. The Oracles project is coordinated by The Center for Afrofuturist Studies at Public Space One, funded by they City of Iowa City and the University of Iowa Office of the Vice President of Research. It aims to provide paid opportunities for BIPOC artists and foster public conversation and action towards racial justice in Iowa City and beyond.

Representatives from the project will be on-hand to discuss the project and its powerful messages, both now and beyond. What do they hope to accomplish? What types of conversations can we be having? What happens next? Join in as community members to find out more.

Registration is not required, but encouraged so that we may gauge attendance and maintain social distancing in the meeting rooms.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact Candice Smith or Melody Dworak.
