Press ReleaseOnline Arts and Crafts Bazaar Helps Shoppers Find Gifts While Raising Funds for the Iowa City Public Library

The Iowa City Public Library's Friends Foundation will host its very popular Arts and Crafts Bazaar through the end of December. This year due to COVID-19 precautions, the event will be hosted online. The fundraiser is in its ninth year and is made possible by the generous donations of local artists and crafters.

Cheryl Hetherington, who donated items for the Bazaar says, “I love the Library, and I love to do art. It seems like the perfect mixture to share those loves with you all.”

Shoppers can take advantage of this local gift buying option knowing that 100% of proceeds directly support the Iowa City Public Library. The public can visit the online market to find a wide selection of unique gifts from quilts and knitted items to jewelry, holiday ornaments, and more. Purchases can be picked up at the Library, or, thanks to the IC Downtown District's sponsorship, delivered directly to your home.

The Iowa City Public Library is a center of community life that connects people of all ages with information, engages them with the world of ideas and with each other, and enriches the community by supporting learning, promoting literacy, and encouraging creativity.
