Press Release"The Shore" Book Launch Party

Iowa City author Katie Runde's debut novel, "The Shore," was just released and has received rave reviews—Glamour magazine listed it as one of the ten best books to read in May, and a New York Times reviewer wrote that the book "is never sentimental; it is absorbing, lucid and true."

The community is invited to celebrate with the author at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022, on the rooftop at The Chauncey, 404 E. College St. The event is free with no registration required and will feature the author in conversation with Lyz Lenz, another brilliant Iowa author.

A pre-party, ticketed reception will be held from 5:30 - 7 p.m., to benefit the Iowa City Public Library. Guests will receive a copy of "The Shore," as well as delicious appetizers and beverages to enjoy while conversing with Runde, Lenz, and other library supporters. Tickets are $50.
Make your reservation here for this fun gathering.

This first-ever and one-of-a-kind event is brought to you by the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, The Tuesday Agency, and MidWestOne Bank.
