New Collection Alert: Audio-Enabled Chapter Books!

The children's room now holds a collection of audio-enabled books for children - there are many exciting picture books in this new collection, but this list will help you hone in on the 18 chapter books (both "transitional" chapter books for roughly 1st-2nd graders and "middle grade" chapter books for roughly 3rd-6th graders) that are audio-enabled.

"Audio-enabled" means each book has a small audio device built right into the back cover. This device will read the book aloud while a reader follows along with the text. The controls are easy and headphones can be plugged in, too. The books are charged with a mini USB cord (like Android phones/devices use), but the books can be played dozens of times before they need a charge. Check out this list of audio-enabled chapter books - and search the catalog for "jRead-Along" to see our full audio-enabled collection, including picture books and nonfiction books! New chapter books will be added regularly, too. Place some on hold for your child today!
