Have you noticed that your library card has expired? Don’t fret! The library has all of our library card accounts expire every year or two, and that gives us a chance to make sure we can still contact you and that you still live in the area. Your library card number doesn’t even change!
We send you a notice a few days before your card expires, giving you some time to respond. We’re sure you don’t want your library privileges to lapse! You can respond to the email with your current address AND phone number (we do need both!). We’ll email you back that we’ve updated your account, and you’ll be good to go. If you don’t do email, you can call us and we’ll verify the same information and update your account over the phone. It’s that easy!
Don’t have a library card yet? Apply for a library card on our website and one of our friendly library staff will assign you a library card number you can use to check out books for curbside pickup or mail delivery, download ebooks, and access all our digital resources. When the building reopens, you can visit us to update your account and get your physical library card.
Don’t miss out on all the fun things ICPL has to offer you, and make sure to contact us to update your card!
The character of Will reminds me of a few young men I've known, and his journey in this book intrigued me, baffled me, impressed me, and comforted me. There's hints of Southern Gothic, to give you a taste and keep you guessing. Each layer of the story got me more invested, and by the near end I was literally at the edge of my seat, anxious to know what would happen next, and I seemed to feel what the characters were feeling as it all came out. I feel like this is a book and a story that some LGBTQ youth may find engaging enough to help them muddle through complex emotions and their own journeys of self discovery. -Amanda
