------
The ICPL Bookmobile will be temporarily out of service on Thursday, November 2, and Friday, November 3, 2023. This brief interruption is due to necessary mechanical repairs aimed at ensuring the Bookmobile continues to serve our community effectively.
During this temporary service interruption, we want to assure patrons that alternative arrangements have been made to ensure uninterrupted access to Library materials and services:
- Item Returns: Library materials borrowed from the ICPL Bookmobile can be returned at the downtown Library or deposited in one of our convenient remote drop boxes.
- Holds Pick-Up: All holds will be extended through Thursday, Nov 9 and available on the Bookmobile when service resumes. The Bookmobile will be closed on Friday, Nov 10 due to Veterans Day.
We encourage individuals to reach out to the Iowa City Public Library's main line at 319-356-5200, where our staff will be available to assist you with any questions.
For the latest updates on the Bookmobile's schedule and information on its regular routes, please visit the Iowa City Public Library website at icpl.org/services/bookmobile
Inspired by the recent Last Podcast on the Left episode about Mark David Chapman (murderer of John Lennon) I checked out this personal biography about John Lennon, written by his first wife, Cynthia (Powell) Lennon. The unique perspective of this book helps it to stand out from the litany of biographies about the idealistic Beatle. -Shawna
